Since the mid 1970’s, Regis University’s School for Professional Studies (SPS) has been nationally recognized for leadership in designing and delivering adult-centered educational programs. Distance Learning Program:
Regis University’s online programs offer the same quality coursework and faculty as on-campus programs. No classroom attendance is required. Classes are offered in an 8-week, accelerated format and size is limited to 15 students.

Graduate Programs of Study:
Master of Science in Computer Information Technology. This degree program focuses on the integration of technological and management issues for information resources professionals. The MSCIT program offers a balanced curriculum in computer hardware and software, systems design, communications and project/team management skills. ($545/credit hour)

Master of Science in Software and Information Systems. This program is offered jointly by Regis University and the National University of Ireland, Galway. Students will be provided with the necessary professional skills, conceptual frameworks, methods, technologies and hands-on experience of software development as a basis for a career in the IT industry. ($545/credit hour)

Master of Science in Management. Leading-edge concepts and practical experience in leadership, management and organizational change are synthesized in this program. Students develop the ability to perform creatively, ethically and effectively in an organization – learning how to lead through action rather than position. Broad perspective is developed while communication and process improvement skills are enhanced. ($550/credit hour)

Master of Nonprofit Management. This program offers an intense, conceptually based, application-oriented course of study for individuals interested in enhancing their leadership and management capabilities within a nonprofit setting. Regis University is one of a few select universities in the U.S. to offer a graduate degree in Nonprofit Management. ($440/credit hour)

Master of Education. This program offers two tracks from which students will choose. The Professional Leadership Emphasis is designed for educators wanting to move into administrative positions in schools or other education related institutions. The Profession Educator Emphasis is designed for educators or trainers at various levels who are seeking professional growth and wish to enhance their teaching-related knowledge and skills. External Master of Business Administration. The external MBA emphasizes the foundations and functions of business, the global environment in which business operates and the analytical tools needed for intelligent, reflective decision-making. ($650/credit hour)

Graduate Certificates
Graduate Certificates are designed for adults who wish to enhance their work-related knowledge and skills while advancing their education. The courses offered represent a coherent body of knowledge chosen in consultation with representatives of appropriate academic disciplines. These courses could eventually be included in a Regis University graduate degree plan or stand along as courses beyond the degree requirements. Several Graduate Certificates are available online:

Executive Project Management (18-21 semester hours - $550/credit hour; prerequisites may apply)
Designed to meet the needs of students who wish to enhance their work-related knowledge and skills in project management and leadership.

Executive Leadership (15-18 semester hours - $550/credit hour; prerequisites may apply)
Designed for students who choose to build a philosophy and the skills for becoming effective leaders. Focuses on contemporary leadership theories, ethical leadership and future leadership roles.

Executive International Management (15-18 semester hours - $550/credit hour; prerequisites may apply)
Designed to explore leadership and organizational changes associated with the international marketplace. The impact of diverse cultures on organizations and culturally appropriate strategies for success are explored.

Strategic Business Management (15-18 semester hours - $550/credit hour; prerequisites may apply)
Designed for students to develop skills in strategic management with a focus on developing leadership skills in managing project teams, process improvement plans and achieving customer satisfaction.

Database Technologies (12 semester hours - $550/credit hour)
This program is designed for students with data processing experience who wish to develop specific skills and knowledge in database management systems. Within the Database Technologies certificate program, students may select and area of concentration in Database Administration, Oracle application Development or Oracle E-Commerce, Enterprise and Web/IP Programming.

Software Engineering (12 semester hours - $550/credit hour)
Covering topics ranging from software requirement, quality, testing and configuration management, this program is designed for the student that wants a comprehensive knowledge in modern software engineering topics. Students will be exposed to all aspects of the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge, with additional emphasis being placed on modern software development technologies and techniques.

Executive Information Technologies (12 semester hours - $550/credit hour)
This certificate is designed for students to have the skills necessary to convert corporate data into knowledge in order to meet the technology challenges facing corporations today.

Systems Engineering (12 semester hours - $550/credit hour)
This certificate is designed for students desiring a higher level of knowledge in systems development and/or information assurance.

Leadership (12 semester hours - $440/credit hour)
Designed for individuals who want to enhance their personal and organizational leadership skills. Focuses on personal leadership attributes as well as organizational leadership theory and practice.

Program Management (12 semester hours - $440/credit hour)
Designed for individuals who anticipate managing or directing a nonprofit program. Focuses on the basic skills necessary for the effective nonprofit manager.

Resource Development (12 semester hours - $440/credit hour)
Designed for those who anticipate a career in nonprofit development or who anticipate needing such skills within the context of their job. Provides an overview of core fundraising topics and allows students to focus on the specific fundraising skills they need.

Student Services:
Regis University offers online students access to a number of services. The Dayton Memorial Library provides access to the computerized library catalog of Regis University, dozens of libraries throughout the U.S. and hundreds of databases. A full-time Distance Learning Librarian is on staff. Career Services is available to provide counseling services, skill assessment and job search strategies. The Regis University Disability Services Department offers disabled students assistance in taking online courses. The Financial Aid Department provides assistance with student loans, while the Registrar’s Office assists veterans and active service members in using their GI Benefits

Faculty:
The faculty at Regis University’s School of Professional Studies is made up experienced practitioners with a minimum of a Master’s Degree. Students gain first-hand knowledge of current practices and trends using a unique mixture of theory and practice.

Applying:
All degree- and certificate-seeking students are required to submit the following:

  • Completed application form.
  • $75 non-refundable application fee (waived for Regis University Graduates).
  • Unofficial copy of degree-bearing transcript. (Official transcripts must be sent within one month directly from your institution to Regis University SPS Graduate Admissions Office.)
  • Current resume.
  • Essay/s as required by the program of choice.
  • Letters of reccomendation as required by the program of choice
